The purpose of this chapter is to establish minimum wages employers must pay employees for hours employees work in the city, and to establish remedies that employees and their representatives and the city may seek for alleged employer violations of this chapter. This chapter is not intended to create, and may not be construed so as to create, any city duty to implement or enforce the requirements of this chapter. (Ord. 2691 NCS §3 (part), 2019.)
