It is unlawful for any person who owns an alarm business to install any type of alarm system in or on any building, place or premises without a valid installation permit issued by the chief of police in the case of burglary and robbery alarms, or the fire chief in the case of fire alarms, or other designate pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.
