No franchise, granted by the city council under this chapter, shall be for a term longer than twenty years following the date of acceptance of such franchise by the grantee or the renewal thereof. (Ord. 1595 NCS §7, 1984; Ord. 757 NCS §4; prior code §9A.5.)
