Each owner, agent, manager or keeper of a hotel, boardinghouse, lodginghouse, tenement house, motor court or apartment house shall immediately report to the police department of the city the presence therein of any person under the age of eighteen years, unless such minor is accompanied by the parent, guardian or other adult person having legal care and custody of such minor, and in making such report shall state to the police department the minor’s name, age, last-known place of abode and name of the parents or guardian or other custodian of such minor, so far as such information can be ascertained from such minor or otherwise.
